Spanning over 100 acres, The Cibolo Center for Conservation is a premier destination for experiencing the diverse environments of the Texas Hill Country. The center features several distinct ecosystems, including a restored tallgrass prairie, a marsh, and the shaded banks of Cibolo Creek. Visitors can explore miles of well-maintained trails that wind through these habitats, offering excellent opportunities for bird watching and wildlife photography. The on-site nature center provides educational exhibits and programs focused on conservation and local ecology.

Before you go

Trails are open daily from dawn to dusk. The Visitor Center operates Monday-Friday from 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Stay on designated trails; bicycles, motorbikes, smoking, firearms, and camping are prohibited.

Are dogs allowed at The Cibolo Center for Conservation?

Yes, dogs are welcome on the trails but must remain on a leash at all times to protect the wildlife.

Is there an admission fee for the trails?

Access to the trails and the nature center is free, though donations to support conservation efforts are appreciated.

Does the center have paved trails?

While most trails are natural surface or crushed granite, there are some paved and boardwalk sections that are wheelchair and stroller accessible.
