River Road Park

The dam at the east end of River Road Park was originally part of the Dietert homestead and was deeded to the City of Boerne in 1912. Formerly known as Riverside Park, the grounds underwent renovations in 2013 and 2024 to rebuild the creek bank and prevent erosion. These updates added modern amenities while preserving the area's historical connection to the old Dietert Mill Dam.

Before you go

Open daily from 5 a.m. until midnight. The dam top and its restricted section are closed to unauthorized walking, running, jumping, diving, sitting, and standing.
