Sabinal and John M. Davenport Historical Markers

Two Texas historical markers at one roadside stop summarize Sabinal's development from Hammer's Station through the railroad era and identify stock raiser John M. Davenport, who was killed near the community in 1859.

Before you go

Pull fully into the existing gravel roadside area only where lawful and clear of traffic. Remain between U.S. 90 and the fence, do not stop in the travel lane, and do not enter adjoining land.
