With four miles of river frontage, the Guadalupe River takes center stage at this state park. Visitors can swim, fish, tube, and canoe in the flowing waters. Away from the river, the park offers 13 miles of hike and bike trails, ranging from the 2.86-mile Painted Bunting Trail to the scenic River Overlook Trail. The park features 85 water and electric campsites, making it an excellent destination for overnight stays under the live oak trees.

Before you go

Open daily with gate access from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Discovery Center is open Thursday through Sunday with varied hours. Trails might be closed because of bad weather or poor conditions.
