Divide School Historical Marker
The Divide School Historical Marker, erected by the Texas Historical Commission in 2006, stands on the campus of the Divide Independent School District. The marker interprets the history of education in this remote ranching community, beginning with classes held in a hired teacher's home in 1882. It details the establishment of the Divide Common School District in 1909 and the construction of the current schoolhouse on the F.B. Klein Ranch in 1936.
