Guadalupe Highlands

Kerrville is the county seat of Kerr County, sixty-two miles northwest of San Antonio on Interstate 10, at the junction of State Highways 16 and 27. The Guadalupe River runs through it. The official elevation is 1,645 feet. Kerr County's population was 52,598 at the 2020 census, estimated at 54,037 in 2025. The city itself holds roughly 24,000 people; another 28,000 live in the unincorporated county around it. People drive through Kerrville on their way to somewhere else. That is a mistake.
