Kimble County Courthouse

The Kimble County Courthouse at 501 Main Street was built in 1929 to replace a courthouse that had served, after repairs, since an 1888 fire; the county's first courthouse burned with its records in 1884. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2021. It is still the working seat of county government, and the courthouse square is the civic center of Junction.

Before you go

It is a working county courthouse, and offices and courtrooms have moved during restoration work. The outside and the square are there any time; confirm with the county before planning to go inside, and be respectful of court in session.
